چکیده

1 Abstract In this project, I will analyze the boundary curves of leaf images to recognize and classify leaves by species. The input leaf boundary curve will be decomposed into a wavelet bases, which will then be compared to the decomposition of all samples in the database, and the closest matches will be returned. The inner-distance measure will also be computed and compared at multiple scales. This project is constructed to complement an existing leaf classification system which uses general leaf geometry, and not pure boundary information, to recognize leaf species.

Introduction Atmospheric boundary layer (ABL), is the lowest part of the atmosphere. Its behavior is directly influenced by its contact with earth surface. On earth it usually responds to changes in surface radiative forcing in an hour or less. In this layer physical quantities such as flow velocity, temperature, moisture, etc., display rapid fluctuations (turbulence) and vertical mixing is st...

Two New Methods of Boundary Correction for Classifying Textural Images

With the growth of technology, supervising systems are increasingly replacing humans in military, transportation, medical, spatial, and other industries. Among these systems are machine vision systems which are based on image processing and analysis. One of the important tasks of image processing is classification of images into desirable categories for the identification of objects or their sp...

Limitations and Improvements of the Leaf Optical Properties Model Leaf Incorporating Biochemistry Exhibiting Reflectance and Transmittance Yields (LIBERTY)

Leaf Incorporating Biochemistry Exhibiting Reflectance and Transmittance Yields (LIBERTY) models the effects of leaf biochemical concentrations on reflectance spectra on the basis of Melamed theory, which has several limitations. These are: (1) the radiation components are not treated satisfactorily; (2) the directional changes of both particle and sublayer scattering ratios are not considered;...

Comparison of Machine Learning Algorithms for Broad Leaf Species Classification Using UAV-RGB Images

Abstract: Knowing the tree species combination of forests provides valuable information for studying the forest’s economic value, fire risk assessment, biodiversity monitoring, and wildlife habitat improvement. Fieldwork is often time-consuming and labor-required, free satellite data are available in coarse resolution and the use of manned aircraft is relatively costly. Recently, unmanned aeria...

Boundary layer conductances estimated in the field from energy balance measurements increased linearly from approximately 10 mm s−1 at low wind speeds (< 0.1 m s−1) to over 150 mm s−1 ...
